Lindsley Excavating handles pond earthwork, excavated-material movement and surrounding site grading. For a farm, private property or planned stormwater basin, send the design and intended use so the excavation can be reviewed as a specific construction package.
A recreational pond, farm pond and stormwater basin have different design requirements. Provide the proposed footprint, depths, side slopes, water-level and outlet information from the project designer. Tell us whether the scope is new excavation or work on an existing feature. Design, site approvals and water-management requirements must be identified before a construction sequence is finalized.
Excavated material needs a defined destination. Identify on-site areas where it may be spread or stockpiled and specify the final elevations and finish condition. If material must leave, the haul route, quantity and receiving arrangements affect the estimate. Spreading soil on an adjacent field and trucking it off-site are substantially different operations and should be priced separately.
Show how excavators, haul units and material deliveries will reach the work. Soft access ground, limited turning room and long travel between the pond and soil placement area can affect production. Existing utilities, trees to retain and nearby structures belong on the work plan. For an existing pond, provide details of water and sediment handling rather than assuming ordinary dry excavation.
The excavation scope should identify surrounding grading, topsoil placement, access repairs and any specified aggregate work. Liners, outlet structures, erosion protection and specialty systems need explicit responsibilities. A pond's ability to hold water depends on design and site conditions; a general excavation price does not establish a water-retention guarantee.

Those dimensions help start a discussion, but depth, slopes, ground conditions, access and the soil destination are needed for meaningful earthwork pricing.
That can be evaluated against the grading plan and material suitability. Provide the intended placement area and final grades so spreading and finishing are included.
