Lindsley Excavating

Catch basin cleaning & hydrovac support.

Lindsley Excavating LLC provides catch basin cleaning and reviews hydrovac work for commercial properties, parking lots and construction sites in Central New York. Send the structure locations, access conditions and the problem you need addressed so cleaning, material handling and any repairs can be priced together.

Locate each structure before pricing

Mark the catch basins on a plan or site photo and tell us how many need attention. Share photographs from the surface, known structure depths, cover sizes and any history of recurring blockages. Vehicle access, parked cars, work hours and the distance from the setup area to the structure affect the work. Do not enter a drainage structure to gather information.

Separate cleaning from repair

Removing accumulated sediment and debris is a different scope from repairing a broken catch basin, replacing an outlet pipe or correcting pavement grades. Tell us whether the issue is slow drainage, standing water, a damaged cover or visible settlement. Cleaning may help identify the next repair, but it does not establish the condition or capacity of the whole drainage system.

Define the hydrovac and disposal requirements

For vacuum excavation or other hydrovac support, provide the work location, requested exposure area, expected depth, known utilities and ground conditions. We review equipment suitability and access before committing to the work. Identify known contamination, material characterization requirements and the approved receiving location. Disposal, traffic control, water supply and restoration responsibilities belong in the written scope.

Project questions

Can you clean catch basins before parking lot paving?

Yes. Include the basins and any damaged structures in the pavement review so cleaning and agreed repairs can be coordinated before the new surface is placed.

Does catch basin cleaning include jetting or camera inspection?

Those are separate scope items. Identify any pipe jetting, camera inspection or specialty testing you need so the proposal can confirm whether and how it will be provided.

Does hydrovac eliminate the need for utility coordination?

No. Provide available utility information and identify the required locating, access and coordination steps. The work method and equipment suitability are reviewed for the specific site.
